The Las Vegas Aces Star, A’JA Wilson, will miss Friday’s game against the Dallas Wings, since it is in the Bill Shock Protocol, the team announced. Wilson was a blow to the face at the end of the third quarter of Wednesday’s murmur against Los Angeles Sparks.
“I was bleeding,” said ACES coach Beck Hammon, after the game, for ESPN. “Tomorrow will go to the doctor and see what is happening. I have nothing beyond that.”
Now, for the first time this season, the Aces will be without Wilson.
Wilson, an MVP three times, has averaged 20.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2.6 blocks and 2 robberies per game so far this season. The ACES are 4-4 to start the year.
Paige Bueckers and Dallas Wings are looking for their second victory of the season
Meanwhile, the Dallas Wings are looking for the second victory of the year. The wings will be without Ty Harris, who feels seasonal knee surgery, Maddy Sieglist, who is out with a right knee injury, and Teiara McCowan, who is out for the Eurobasket. Dijonai Carrington (left shoulder) and Myisha Hines-Ffairs (right knee) are avoidable after they are previously included in the injury report.
The Wings asked for the 1-10 season and were without the rookie star, Paige Bueckers, when she dalt with brain shock protocol and disease, but she returned with a 35-point night against Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday. Bueckers has led the team in annotations (17.6 points), assists (6.3), robberies (1.9) and blockages (1) per game this season.
