Last year, the duration of the WNBA finals, Pili told SB Nation that obtaining regular DNP was a mental challenge.
“It is definitely a mental task for me,” he said. “I am never in this position before, and my coach knows it.”
Even so, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such high profile moments.
“There are many rokies that come to this position in which I am, and the fact that our team is so successful has a lot to be part of,” Pili said. “It’s just a great learning experience. I’m trying to soak up everything.”
Pili was an elite university player; As a first -year student at the University of Southern California, he averaged 16.3 points per game, and in the senior season at his University of Utah, he was one of the most efficient scorers in the country, averaging 21.4 points per game with 55% shots.
The announcement came shortly after Lynx’s defeat 87-71 against Chicago’s sky. The Lynx now has 18-4 in the season, owners of the best record in the WNBA. Presumable, Minnesota will sign another in his twelfth place in the list instead of Pili, but who has not been announced.
