With the Olympic Games in Los Angeles still three years away, there is still a lot of time for Fitzgerald to improve.
Under the guidance of former Britain corridor, Jo Pavey, and her husband Gavin, Fitzgerald has gradually risen in recent years.
She is currently the second most rapid British woman of about 5000 meters this year, the champion of the United Kingdom, Hannah Nutall, and her last best staff has taken her to 33º in the world.
“I think heaven is the limit in terms of what we are doing,” says the Student of Sports Sciences at the University of Exeter.

“We entered the season with not too many expectations. We knew that I could run well and that this world rating time was the main objective.
