An agent retired from Customs and Border Protection from the United States was among the two victims killed in the deadly shooting at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle casino on Sunday, confirmed Eagle Pass Aaron Valdez on social networks.

Valdez also promised to support the afflicted families of those who were in the attack and thanked the police for their rapid work capturing a suspect.
Dimmit’s County Judge, Martha Alicia Gomez Ponce, said the other victim in Sunday’s shooting was a resident of Dimmit.
“We join in unity and support for victims and their loved ones within our Dimmit County community,” Ponce wrote on Facebook. “My condolences depended on the families affected by this heartbreaking event.”
Since then, the authorities have identified the suspect as Koryan Rashad Jones, 34, or San Antonio. Jones was arrested in Wilson County after persecution.
Police said Jones is currently in custody in Wilson/Stockdale County, but will be extradited back to Eagle Pass, where the investigation is based.

Police say they were able to obtain confirmation through vehicle monitoring and plate recognition systems (LPR), allowing the Texas Public Security Department to find the suspect. Now faces two capital murder positions and five assault positions with a mortal weapon.
Maverick Ramsey English Cantú County judge praised the police for his coordinated response.
“Together, our local, state and federal partners worked 24 hours a day to put this person in custody,” he said. “Now, we must ensure justice to victims and their families. We will not tolerate violence in our community.”
