Emily Maynards husband tyler johnson is sharing his excitement about the newest addition to his family.
On Instagram on Friday, January 23, Johnson uploaded a carousel of photos of Maynard’s daughter. Ricky Hendrick20 years old, and her new baby.
“Today we became grandparents!! The feeling is inexpressible 🤍🤍🤍. This is love,” Johnson, 39, captioned the post.
Along with photos of Johnson and Maynard, 39, holding their new granddaughter, the post included several photos of Hendrick in the hospital, including several showing Hendrick and Carter Dyer, who appears to be the child’s father. (Hendrick has never publicly revealed the identity of her baby’s father.)

Johnson also reposted a photo of the baby via her Instagram Story, gushing, “What a day. No words. Just every ounce of love I have for my baby and your baby.”
Hendrick confirmed the arrival of her first baby on Friday via Instagram, writing, “Best day ever,” along with a photo of her doctor showing her the newborn shortly after giving birth.
In August 2025, Hendrick announced that she was expecting her first child. At the time, she posted an ultrasound photo via her Instagram story along with a quote from Love Island United States Huda Mustafa: “Netflix told me I can’t talk about it.” She later revealed that she was expecting a girl.
Hendrick also shared her mother’s reaction to the news of her pregnancy with her followers in September 2025.
After a fan asked Hendrick what her mother thought about Hendrick welcoming a baby “out of wedlock,” Maynard appeared in a video with Hendrick and sarcastically said, “I can’t believe someone would do that. Unforgivable.”
Immediately following that post, Hendrick shared another video via her Instagram Story and was equally sarcastic when talking about how her mother took the news of her pregnancy.
“My mom is really devastated, she’s really upset,” Hendrick joked as he focused the camera on the various items Maynard had purchased, including a new crib and a book about grandmothers.
Hendrick continued, “She’s not at all excited about me having a baby. In fact, she’s angry. She’s super angry. She can’t even look at me. She can’t stand it at all. She’s angry.”

The new mom is the only daughter of Maynard and her late fiancé, Ricky Hendricka NASCAR driver who died in a plane crash in 2004 at age 24 when Maynard, then 19, was pregnant with Ricki.
After appearing in the bachelor in 2011 and The bachelorette party in 2012 and failing to find lasting love with her on-screen suitors, Maynard finally married Johnson in 2014.
Maynard and Johnson welcomed five children together: Jennings, Gibson, Gatlin, Magnolia, and Jones in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020, and 2022, respectively.
