The showdown between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2026 Western Conference Finals is destined to go down in history. The first game was an instant double-overtime classic in which the Spurs took control with an incredible performance from Victor Wembanyama, including a game-tying logo three-pointer from distance by Steph Curry. How can Game 2 live up to its predecessor? Well, San Antonio guard Stephon Castle did his best by performing one of the best dunks you’ll ever see in the NBA Playoffs.
During the second quarter, Castle received an outlet pass from Wembanyama and attacked the paint hard. He sized up Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein and dealt him a ferocious blow to the head with a tomahawk. There is nothing better than this for making poster mattes. See the work here:
Castle doesn’t have a reliable jumper, he has battled turnover issues throughout his career (with 11 in Game 1), and his control can be shaky. It doesn’t matter because he plays very hard on both ends of the court, and he showed it all with this dunk.
Wembanyama isn’t the only young Spurs stud. Castle is a great young player and he is showing it in this series.
