“Yesterday was a wonderful day celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiancé Mika Abdalla. From set to real life, watching your journey has been a pleasure. Here’s to forever,” Medavoy captioned the 2025 Instagram post, alongside a photo of the couple.
A spokesperson for Abdalla later confirmed exclusively to Us weekly in June 2026 that the actress recently split from Short.

Jake Short is an actor
Short has starred in a number of shows, including Ant farm, Mighty Med and Laboratory rats: elite force.
“I started acting four years ago,” Short recalled in a 2011 interview. “I started in Indiana, where I’m from. I basically developed from there. I got here, I got a manager and an agent and that’s basically my story of how I got into acting.”

I’ll be attending both festivals!!”

I could go on and on here, but I’ll save it. Because I really just want to keep creating things with my friends. And I hope to be able to share a lot more of this more often. Short and Perry started their podcast, “The Sit and Chat,” in 2025. The couple’s most recent episode was released in January 2025 with guests Olivia Holt.
