The professor at the State University of North Carolina, Stephen Porter, celebrates after his university stirred Dei in his strategic plan after his formal complaint.
Porter has taught applied statistics and data analysis to graduated students in NC State since 2011.
The self -written “populist” self -written has been fighting Dei’s policies at the University during the last decade and believes that he achieved his first victory in February.
“Two weeks ago, I filed a complaint by citing four violations of the UNC system policies on institutional neutrality and the prohibition of obligatory discourse. The university has now marched in three positions, but they say like little”, “”, “”, “” “”
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Porter said he was surprised and excited when he knew that the university announced that it would make changes only two weeks after having filed his complaint.
“It was exactly what was going to happen. So I was very, very happy with the final result,” he said.
The University announced on February 25 that it had made reviews to the language in its strategic plan and vision and values statements to align with the equality policy of the UNC system.
Porter had filed a complaint before the Board of Governors of the UNC on February 8 alleging that NC State was violating the UNC system policies on institutional neutrality and the obligatory discourse in multiple ways, even in its strategic plan.
In 2023, the Board of Governors of the UNC voted to prohibit Dei’s statements and forced the speech to admission, hiring, promotion and tenure practices in 16 public universities.
UNC ALSO REPEALED AND REPLACED ITS DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION POLY REFLAIN FROM AND REFLAIN FROM AND REFLAIN FROM AND REFLAIN AND REFLAIN AND REFLAIN FROM AND REININ AND REIN AND REFLAIN AND REININ AND REFLAIN FROM AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT AND REFLECT and reflection and reflection and reflection and reflection and reflection and reflection and reflection.
Porter said these policies “marked a significant victory for intellectual freedom in public universities in North Carolina.”
However, he says that the university simply moved its “underground” measures instead of eliminating them real.
For example, the terms ofi remained in the strategic plan of NC State and other strategic plans in several universities of the university, he said.
The University also renamed its office of Dei several times instead of abolishing the office.
“For me, it was really insulting when they simply renamed the office. Is it like, seriously? Is it how you are complying with this?” Hi commented.
The university should have Goths getting rid of this office and hiring people “who really believe in equal opportunities instead of equal results,” he added.
Porter’s complaint before the Board cited other alleged violations, such as 4,750 references to “diversity, equity and inclusion” on administrative websites and text messages on the website of the University Pride Center, which said that students and members of the Faculty are required. Requested. Requested.
That text has been eliminated from the University website.
In Porter’s complaint, Hey asked the Board to review these alleged violations and take any necessary corrective action.
There, he did not hear anything, it was pleasant to see the university’s announcement and said it seemed that the university had been “cleaning” the language of some of the websites that marked in their complaint.
“I was surprised that I won in the strategic plan,” he told Fox News Digital. “That was the one that really mattered to me. I thought, boy if something can happen, if we can get this out of strategic plans, that’s just a great huge victory.”
When it was contacted to comment, the North Carolina State University referred to Fox News Digital to the February declaration of the University on the changes.
The Board of Governors of the UNC did not respond to a request for comments.
The teacher’s victory occurs after he lost a federal lawsuit of civil rights against the state of North Carolina in 2021 in which alleged reprisal for criticizing Dei and social justice at the university.
The announcement of the university occurred only two weeks after universities in the state received the mandatory credits of diversity, equity and inclusion courses to comply with the executive order of President Trump, said Inside Higher ed.
Porter told Fox News Digital that he was satisfied with the actions of the Trump administration that dei dei in education.
“I wake up every day eager to read the news,” Porter said. “It’s absolutely charming leg. A fantasy comes true.”
