Electronics players around the world, including chip manufacturers, are staggering for changing new tariff policies of the Trump administration. Around the weekend, President Donald Trump promised that he will still apply tariffs to phones, computers and popular consumer electronic products, minimizing an exemption issued on Friday as a procedure step in his general impulse to rebuild US trade.
Apple Inc. companies Eli Lilly & Co. have announced plans to spend billions of dollars to boost their presence of American manufacturing from Trump’s elections. Many of the plans were already in process before the elections, or closely track the trends of previous expenses.
