
Alexa Penavega shared a heartbreaking photo of herself holding her dead baby a year after the baby died tragically.
In a photo published on Instagram on the weekend, you could see the lbunts of “Spy Kids” crying while holding the little boy, called Indy Rex Penavega, in the hospital.
“This was the most painful moment I have experienced,” the publication subtitled. “I remember that it feels so difficult to breathe. A painful pain so deep … how was this real? It didn’t feel real. Each emotion was flooded at the same time.”
Alexa, who welcomed Indy and three other children with her husband Carlos Penavega, explained that only she and her family suffered a “devastating loss”, they still felt a “natural peace.”
“Everything was out of our control,” he wrote. “We had to give everything to God. The burden was too heavy to take us, so it shows us the weight and covered us in his peace.”
The “Pajamas” actress, 36, reflected on how her family’s life had changed during the past year and shared that she has seen “life comes out of his life.”
“We saw people heal because or Indy. We saw the complaint raised because or Indy. We saw that relationships were restored … God cools his life so much fruit … both meaning and purpose,” he continued.
“Our sweet girl is celebrating with Jesus today. And although we still cry and we would like to have her in our arms … we know that she is waiting for us in a place that is beyond everything we can imagine. Jeremiah 29:11”.
Alexa also published a black and white photo of her and Carlos’s three children: Sons Ocean, 8, Kingston, 5, and his 3 -year -old daughter Rio, a photo of the late newborn.
“Our world changer forever 🤍 Happy Celestial Birthday of the girl,” he wrote about the photo in his Instagram history.
Meanwhile, Carlos, 35, also paid tribute to his late daughter by publishing a similar photo of her three children looking at a photo of her late brother.
“Happy Celestial Birthday Indy Girl.
The couple, who married in 2014, announced the loss of their fourth son shortly after their birth in April 2024.
“After a beautiful and peaceful delivery, our daughter ‘Indy’ was born at rest,” they wrote at that time. “This girl has already changed our lives in many ways. It was absolutely beautiful. And it looked like Dad. Dark hair and everything.”
Shortly after, Alexa shared an emotional video where former explained that the order was the “most traumatic thing” for which she and Carlos have passed.
“I don’t think I experienced anything like this, and I hope you never experience like that again,” he said last May, before clarifying that his family “has never been stronger.”
