At these prices, shouldn’t Juan Soto think that he is the best batter in the game? Or, at least, he does not publicly suggest that he loses having the “best batter in the game” beaten behind him, as he told our Mike Puma on Monday.
It is likely that there is some validity to what Soto told Puma about that things are “different”, which means more difficult, without the protection of the alignment of Aaron’s great judge. But this is not the time for that.
There may never be a good time for that. But this is definitely not all. When Soto made the comments, before finally starting the 5-1 victory on Monday in Minnesota, he had 15 games with a 15-year commitment.
It seems that there is a way to go quite a lot to go: if you are scoring at home, 14 years and 146 games now.
