Aced Sion Davies of Great Britain assured its seventh consecutive T -Bullet launch title on the last day of the World Athletics Championship for New Delhi.
The 34 -year -old Welshman showed a distance of 16.44m in his fifth attempt to end in front of Faisal Sorour de Kuwait, who won Silver with an effort or 16.28m, and ensures the 11th world title of his career.
Edenilson Floriani of Brazil taught bronze with a launch or 14.07m.
“It’s quite surreal to be honest,” Davies told BBC Sport.
“Faisal is coming and he has pushed me. But I make it able to answer him in recent years. It feels good to be back, but I still feel much more to come.”
Davies had lost gold in a fourth consecutive paralympic last year when Sorour launched 15.31 million to win in Paris.
F63 is a classification for athletes with a single -leg amputation on the knee that uses a prosthesis.
In recent years, Davies has been hindered by a condition called Pubis Osteitis, which causes pain and swelling in groin and has needed surgery, but has promised to break its own world in the 2028 games in Los Angeles.
“After the heartbreak of last year, the pain of the last four years with my wounds, and finally accepted that I needed to have some repairs,” said Davies.
“I had to rebuild my hip and I was tolerated, I could not return to the standards I was in.
“I have done that. I have returned, rebuilt in silence and I have come here and competed again.
“I am building towards Los Angeles. I’m going to break my world record.”
Meanwhile, Victoria Levitt of Britain won money at the T44 200M, the English woman marked a better personal brand of 27.46 seconds when Annie Carey of the United States won the gold in 27.31 seconds.
Levitt’s team, his companion baby Jackson, finished third, but did not receive bronze, since the final was competed for only three athletes, four being the requirement for one.
Great Britain ends the Sevth championships on the medal table with seven golds, five plates and 13 bronzes.
“He has a positive experience,” said Katie Jones, head of Paralympic performance in the United Kingdom athletics.
“All athletes have joined, the spirit of the team has fantastic bone and we have come out with 25 medals. We could ask for more than that.
“We are at the beginning of the La. We have had many athletes within the first eight, four and within the medals here.
“Going to the Commonwealth 2026 games in Glasgow and European championships will give the opportunity to allow new athletes to enter and embed what they have achieved here.”
