The world champion of Great Britain, Amber Anning, was third in the 400m female in the best season of 50.17 seconds, while Dina Asher-Smith ran 10.93 seconds to finish the second Julien Alfred Olympic Behandd in the 100m women.
Asher-Smith said: “Today was something to ask, from running in Oslo three days ago, but I traveled well and the body felt good. Therefore, running 10.9 Low is really great, and it is very exciting to be so close to my PB.”
The British duo Innes Fitzgerald and Hannah Nutall broke their best values to end third and fourth respectively in the 3000m female, which was from Australian Linden Hall.
Fitzgerald, 19, ran 8: 32.90 to overcome his fastest brand in more than seven seconds, while Nutall, 27, ended at 8: 33.82, more than six seconds faster than his best moment.
Fitzgerald said: “I entered the race without expectations and I think that is the best way to run. Sometimes I have let the pressure get a little, but today I was relaxed and I was determined to enjoy it.
“This gives me a lot of confidence in the future. It shows where I belong and I hope to enter the great championship races.”
