Gjart Ingebrigtsen, the father and former coach of the Norwegian athletic star Jakob Ingebrigtsen, has been authorized to abuse the two -time Olympic champion, but declared guilty of violence against his daughter Ingrid.
In the climax of a trial that has taken over Norway, the court announced that there was not enough evidence of Jakob’s claims that his father had an childhood of fear and intimidation marked by violence and threats.
However, Gjart was declared guilty of hitting Ingrid, now 19, on the face with a tower a row in 2022.
Gjart received a 15 -day suspended prison sentence for the incident and folds 10000 Kroner Norwegian (£ 745). Prosecutors had sought a two -year prison sentence against the 59 -year -old man.
