Welsh record holder Jones, who aspires to participate in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, was the British champion in 2020.
Last year she was runner-up at the UK Championships for the fourth time, achieving a new personal best of 56.53 metres.
However, broken javelins have affected their bid for success in Glasgow, with the women’s final at Scotstoun Stadium on Saturday, August 1.
“With all my focus on building the team for the Commonwealth Games, this couldn’t have come at a more devastating time,” he said.
“Having all my javelins damaged at this point in the season is incredibly difficult. Not only are they expensive, but they are a very personal part of what we do as throwers.”
