Sabrina Fortune launched a large world record when she won gold at the F20 women’s bullet launch in the World Athletics Championship for New Delhi.
Fortune, 28, now has four world titles in his name, as well as the Paralympic gold of Paris 2024.
Fortune established a world record in Paris or 15.12M, before extending it at 15.75m in Birmingham last month.
She broke it in India with a great launch in a great launch or 16.75m, winning gold for almost three meters.
She told BBC Sport: “After the first launch that was very fun!
“I expected a lot, we expected about 16 m. I wanted another world, but it is never guaranteed.
“I have a learning disability and it takes me a long time to learn new things, there are days when I can’t concentrate, my brain is off.
“But India has been incredible, I am learning culture and language.”
Melanie Woods also won the first global medal with bronze in the T54 of 800m female.
She said: “I am super proud. I have run well this season and trust a medal, I see these girls as a beating now.”
Scot Woods is also competing in the 400m and 1500m this week.
The entrance is free through the championships, which began on Saturday and extended until Sunday, October 5.
