Rebecca Gayheart and her husband, Eric Dane, are in good terms a month after deciding to cancel their divorce.
The old model shared an update on his marriage a day before the shocking diagnosis of Dane Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ELA) was revealed.
“We are the best friends. We are very close. We are great co -partners,” said Gayheart, 53, to E! News in the projection “The Carters: Hurts To Love You” in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The actress, who shares the children Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with Dane, explained that she and “Grey’s Anatomy” have “Reaxy discover the formula to be a family.”
“I think our children are benefiting very well and we too,” he said.
Gayheart does not see his marriage problems as something negative and, on the other hand, has a positive perspective of his rocky relationship.
“I think it is important not to look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It was a failure. It was a great success,” he explained.
“We were married, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful children, so I think it is a successful relationship, and that is how we see it.”
The student of “Beverly Hills, 90210” presented his divorce from Dane, 52, last month after seven years.
Gayheart, who married Dane in August 2004, began divorce in February 2018, citing irreconcilable differences. At that time, he had requested conjugal support and joint custody of his daughters in his presentation.
But seven years after division, page six confirmed that both signed the dismissal application.
The duo decided to give Love another attempt only one month before news arose that Dane was diagnosed with the horrible disease of the nervous system.
“I have diagnosed Bone. I am grateful to have my beloved family by my side while we sail for this next chapter,” Dane told People on Thursday.
“Please, I ask you to give my family and this time the duration of privacy.”
As an affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord and can lead to the loss of muscle control as time progresses, according to the Mayo Clinic. There is no known cure.
Despite its health challenges, the “Euphoria” star will relive its role as Cal Jacobs in season 3 of the HBO series, which begins to film next week.
Dane and Gayheart remained remarkably friendly amid their separation, causing rumors of reconciliation when they embarked on family vacations in Europe and Mexico.
Their relationship was tested in 2009 when they had to deal with a filtered sex tape, a challenge that they could clearly overcome.
