Promotions
kidney care company Interwell Healthnow an operating segment of Fresenius Medical Care, named Carney Taylor as chief medical officer. He will succeed George Hart, who retired on January 1 and will continue to advise the company during the transition. Taylor, a nephrologist by training, joined Fresenius in 2020.

Hennepin Health Minnesota is eliminating five medical programs and about 100 full-time positions as a result of a $50 million budget shortfall.
BCBS New Jersey Horizon is laying off 242 employees as part of a broader restructuring effort. The insurer laid off about 8% of its workforce last year.
pharmaceutical giant Takeda is cutting 243 jobs in 47 states, primarily affecting its neuroscience sales force as the company prepares for the upcoming loss of patent exclusivity for its depression drug Trintellix.
