The Department of Justice has leveled charges against former FBI director James Comment, after President Trump demanded prosecutors to accelerate his rhythm in an investigation aimed at one of his most prominent criticisms.
Comey faces a position to make false statements and a position of obstruction of justice in relation to its testimony before the Judicial Committee of the Senate almost five years ago. The measure occurs days after the main federal prosecutor in northern Virginia doubts the evidence, only to be expelled by the president and replaced by one of Trump’s former defense lawyers.

“No one is above the law,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi in a publication on X. “Today’s accusation reflects the commitment of this justice department to hold those who abuse the passions of power responsible for deceiving the US people.”
Trump has long criticized Comey, blaming the former FBI leader for the appointment of a special prosecutor who investigates between the Russian campaign and Trump’s campaign in 2016 through most of the president’s first mandate in the position.

The charges against Comey mark the last escalation in a war of words between Trump and Comey, who compared the president with a Mafia Chief.
This year, the Secret Service interrogated the former director of the FBI after publishing a photo of marine shells in the form of the numbers “86 47”. Comey then withdrew the post, saying that he thought it was a theme joke of restaurants about the elimination of Trump, 47Th President. But Trump’s son and members interpreted the message as a threat of murder. “Eighty -six” is a snake term that means “getting rid of”, and Trump is the 47th (and 45th) president of the United States.
Comey once served as second in command of the Department of Justice, under President George W. Bush. But he began his career as a federal prosecutor, working in a certain acclamation in the same office in Virginia who later moved to seek his accusation.
The DOJ fired his daughter, Mururene Comeey, of a prominent work as an assistant prosecutor of the United States in Manhattan earlier this year, only a few hours after she said she had her leg as an important case of public corruption.
This month, Maurene Comey thirst current leaders of the Department of Justice, arguing that he was fired without cause and in violation of the Constitution and the federal statutes. His demand said he thought he was fired for “his father’s protected speech, or for the perceived political affiliation and beliefs, or both.”
