A possible clash between Congress and the White House
The citation for the records of the Department of Justice runs the risk of a possible clash between Congress and the White House on the Epstein saga. For almost a months, President Trump has tried to frustrate the growing frustration of his base and demands additional transparency, after the release of a memorandum of the Department of Justice that announced that there was no evidence of an alleged hero of “customer list.”

Trump has tried to reduce some of the questions and criticisms on the subject by pressing for the release of the testimony of the Grand Jury related to Epstein, who died in prison while waiting to go to trial for positions of sexual traffic in 2019. The administration is also seeking the release of the testimony of the Grand Jury for the trial for Maxwell, who serves a 20 -year sentence of sexual trafficking and other positions.
In a judicial presentation presented on Tuesday, Maxwell’s lawyers responded against the government attempt to make transcripts public, arguing that they could negatively affect their efforts so that the Supreme Court reviews its case.
“Public curiosity is insufficient when Maxwell’s legal and reputation interests are at stake,” Maxwell’s lawyers wrote. “These factors weigh a lot in favor of preserving the secret of the Gran Jury materials.”
The administration has also tried to find information directly from Maxwell. At the end of July, the attached attorney general Todd Blanche spent two days interviewing her Behind closed doorsAn argued legal expert movement was unusual for a senior official of the Department of Justice.

The Department of Justice has not published what was discussed at the meeting.
Last Friday, Maxwell was also transferred from the federal prison in Florida, where he had a leg fulfilling his sentence to a prison field in Texas. Despite confirming the transfer, the Federal Prison Office did not provide details about the circumstances.
When journalists asked him if he approached Maxwell’s transfer, Trump said he had no knowledge of the measure.
“I did it at all, no. I read about that as you did. It’s not something very unusual,” he said.
Trump was also pressed on Blanche’s sitting with Maxwell and his credibility.
“I made talk to him about it,” he said. “But I will tell you that what he asked would be totally appropriate.”
