The expected meeting among the best seeds of the France Open of 2025 is still in the cards after the end of the fourth round on Monday. Janik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz hit their tickets in the quarterfinals in Roland Garros, and both are still considered favorites to win the second Grand Slam event of the season.
Sinner and Alcaraz join in the quarterfinals by Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul and Alexander Bublik. That list includes two Americans in Tiafoe and Paul, so the possibilities of a US winner. In the male group are still there.
The television coverage of the France Open Hash managed by TNT and Trutv, as well as Max, which promises to include each tournament match. These games will begin bright and early on Tuesday and Wednesday for spectators in the United States.
Obtaining adjusted to your opponents will be a difficult task for Americans. Paul in particular will have the hands full of Alcaraz, the second seed in the tournament and the winner of the last Open of France in 2024, in his confrontation of quarterfinals. Alcaraz comes from a four-set victory over another American, Ben Shelton of the year 13, in the fourth round, 7-6 (8), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
Paul, the twelfth seed, made him adjust to his opponent of the fourth round, the 25th Alexei Pofyrin, in straight sets for his fourth round party. Tiafoe, the tenth seed, also spent his fourth round opponent, the unopedicted Daniel Altmaier, in straight sets.
The long drought of Slam male winners of the United States has persisted since Andy Roddick brought the United States open in 2003. The best Paul ending was an appearance in the semifinals in the Australian Open in 2023 (its appearance in the quarterfinals in Roland Garros is his best race there), while Tiafoe has been in the semifinal toms of the United States. Like Paul, the appearance in the quarterfinals of Tiafoe in France is the best of all.
Sinner, the best sown and winner of the last two Grand Slams, the Australians and the United States opens an advanced one after a straight victory over Andrey Rublev on Monday 6-1, 6-3, 6-4. Alexander Bublik will face not sown in his quarterfinal confrontation. Bublik is being a great altered by the fifth sealed Jack Draper, but he will have his hands full of Sinner, which looks like the best player in the field and has done so for some time.
Djokovic is the sixth seed this time, and won his 100th victory in his career in Roland Garros with a victory on the straight set over Cameron Norrie in the fourth round. He will face his toughest test of the contest in the third seal Zverev, who caught a break when his fourth -round opponent, Tallon Greek Singer, had to retire from the game at the beginning of the second set.
Zverev is still looking for his first victory in Grand Slam, after reaching the final of the Australia Open earlier this year, as well as the final in Roland Garros last season. Djokovic can his best moment, but he has three titles in the France Open and I would love to add another.
Tiafoe, the 15 seed, will face Musetti, the eighth seed, in the other quarterfinal match. This appearance in the quarterfinals is the best of Musetti in Roland Garros, he thought he arrived at Wimbledon’s semifinals in 2024.
The game begins bright and early on Tuesday morning, at least in the United States. Musetti vs. Tiafoe will be first on the side of men, with an start hour around 8 am et. Paul and Alcaraz will have the night session, which works around 2:30 pm et for spectators in the United States.
