You don’t have to say that buying a ticket for a NFL game does not give you the right to push the players, but here we are. After Deandre Hopkins scored a great touchdown in the fourth quarter he was celebrating near the wall, when the fan of a bill approached and hit him strongly in the helmet, before doing the same with Lamar Jackson.
Lamar was having some of that.
At Michaels and Cris Collinsworth quickly condemned both sides, but I’m sorry, I don’t subscribe to that disaster. It would be one thing if Hopkins jump to the stands or tried to cause opposite fans, but this was a fairly standard celebration. The fact that Hopkins is very close to fans does not give them the right to reach and hit them in the head, simply because you are bitter, they only scored in your butt.
We can grab the pearls about Lamar reprisals, but give me a break. This is an adult fan who thinks he can get his own with his horse, as if my ticket comes with an additional advantage or swallow athletes like garbage. If they are going to fine Jackson for contacting a fan, well, he prohibits this fool for life too. Otherwise, just leave both sides in peace and let this be a message for other fools that if you fight with an NFL player, you could reappear.
