Friday was an incredible day in San Francisco.
The Breakfast Ball was held at TPC Harding Park, one of the best golf courses in the world, and Thomas made sure it was a world-class event. I’m here to say that they fully and totally did their job.
Golf fans know and love this track for its various memories. Collin Morikawa won his PGA Championship there in 2020, Tiger Woods spun the iconic club during the President’s Cup… this place is special, and on Friday it hosted something worthy of its reputation at the Breakfast Ball.
People from all walks of life competed in the event and yours truly complemented it with some captions:
I’ve heard and read a lot about Harding Park, but standing on the tee boxes was a totally different experience. It helped us to be in a group that kept things ahead, par was our worst result of the entire day, but it was like walking into one of my all-time dreams in many ways.
Joe Montana and Jerry Rice hosted the event, which makes sense given where he went and the event he was heading to in Super Bowl LX. On the topic of the Super Bowl, Jerry made sure to retell the famous John Candy story to everyone involved before kickoff occurred, which set the mood as it should be.
In all, there were superstars from all walks of life present and accounted for, which added to the Super Bowl shine of what was happening. Thomas’s doesn’t miss, unlike some of my putts, and he proved it once again here.
