That “future future” is surprisingly, Lord. After all, chatbots with AI are really real now, and people are falling in love with them. It is remarkable that the Science fiction romance Spike Jonze 2013 about a man of lonely mustow, played by Joaquin Phoenix, speaking with a robot in a headset proved to be so prophetic.
Even so, much of our future dominated by AI is still taking shape.
The AI will certainly shape the culture of the next 25 years, but its greatest transformations in our world cannot yet be seen.
Only in its most rudimentary iterations, technology has led us to question our control over reality. One of the first moments in which AI made its way as a cultural force was when a false image of Pope Francis with a swollen White Balenciaga coat cheated the entire Internet a couple of years ago (if it is only avoided, the common of the commons is avoided). At the darkest end of the spectrum, the non -consensual deepfake porn created using AI has become almost impossible to keep offline, which causes a new legislet to be promulgated that prohibits the practice. As people resort to AI for company, just like Phoenix’s character in HereSome of them are losing contact with reality, they become delusions and, in one case, a chatbot of AI has gone to the suicide of a teenager. These developments inevitably seem to indicate that a more seismic change is on its way.
The AI will certainly shape the culture of the next 25 years, but its greatest transformations in our world cannot yet be seen.
How will all that develop? Well, that’s what happens with the future: we will know until we are sweeping us. In cultural terms, that could mean that we are watching films that are at least partial generated by AI, going out with friends of online and listening to music with more human prohibitions.
It would be incorrect to say that the increase in AI is so inconsistency. At least some billionaires were coined. But declare it one of the most transformative cultural events of this last quarter of the century would be a bit premature. After all, we could take years to understand exactly how technology has remodeled who we are, if that is equally true. Perhaps artificial smart software creates a full film in 10 years, and we will look back to human actors and laughter. Or maybe we will continue looking at Jaquin Phoenix HereWondering when we will finally stop being alone.
