
A man who pushes a knife was shot dead by the police in Queens after he pounced the officers grabbing a 14 -inch blade, according to the sources.
The police were called to the address in Astoria just before 6:30 am on Monday after the reports of a man armed with a knife.
After the officers failed to deploy a taser, the suspect, according to the reports, pounced the police with the weapon, possible a kitchen knife, in accordance with the sources of application of the law.
Several shots were shot at the corner of 30th Avenue and 33rd Street, and the suspect was tasks for ElMhursst General Hospital, where he later died.
A weapon from the scene was recovered.
An investigation is ongoing.
