At least seven explosions could reportedly be heard in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, early Saturday morning.
According to The Associated Press, planes were seen flying low over Caracas around 2 a.m. local time on Saturday.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued an Air Mission Notice at 1 a.m. EST on Saturday prohibiting all U.S. aircraft from operating “at all altitudes within Venezuelan airspace.”

The report comes as the US military has been attacking suspected drug smuggling ships in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
