‘The Pitt’ Showrunner Thinks You’re Being “A Little Harsh” on Dr. Trinity Santos

Max’s new medical drama The Pitt It became great success for streamer due to its incredible writing, realistic representations of medicine and the incredibly pleasant cast. Program fans pass out for the problematic Langdon (Patrick Ball), idolize Dulce Mel (Taylor Deeren) and worship the besieged Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle). There is a character, however, that The Pitt The creator and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill believes that the public is being “a bit hard” and is Dr. Ir. Trinity Santos (Isa Briones).

When Decider asked Gemmill if fans reactions to the program fan and his characters surprised him, hey, do not stop.

“I think fans have reacted in the way we expected. I thought they were a bit hard with Santos,” Gemmill said. “Because I am real, if someone of the staff is close to me personally, in terms of personality, Santos is likely.”

“I thought,” yes, but she is just trying to find the form.

In The Pitt Final Season 1, Santos actually gets two scenes in which he can show a softer side of his personality. In one, you can reach a patient, Max (Aidan LaPreta), he thinks he tried to die from suicide. She shares her own experiences losing a close friend and manages to get Max accepting mental health treatment.

“I think there was a bit of wanting to show that Santos is a good doctor, but I think that was always there,” Gemmill said.

Otherwise, Santos follows Colega Whitaker (Gerran Howell) above to discover that he not only has no problems, but also lives in the hospital.

“From the first moment, Whitaker character lived basically in the hospital and that was a great secret,” Gemmill said. “If you look back, there is a couple or small Easter eggs where the entire wing tells them that is not used and we see it steal a sandwich. So we had configured it. So we knew we were going to finish there.”

“At some point it seemed that if Santos has a place and Findoker living there and sacrifices. It seemed a natural, really pleasant and fun way to finish his day, is a leg throughout the day.“

“No, I’m very happy with the way people responded to the characters,” Gemmill said finally. “You know, when you write them, when you create them, they are just words on a page until you choose them. We were very lucky, Cathy Sandrich and his team that are launching, they simply did a great job.”

“You know that our type of objective was a large number of new faces so that when people, when the audience saw these new doctors, did not have any preconceived notion about them,” he continued. “So they simply assume that Langdon is. You know, Gerran is whitaker. I think it had a deep effect in terms of the immediately the immediately in which people accepted these characters for who they are. And that was very big.”

“We simply had luck, so well with our cast that make us see well.”
