A decorated Delta Force veterinarian suffered serious head injuries after being hit in the head with a brick by a vagabon deranged with a rap blade in a wide attack of non -caused daylight.
Veterinarian Hero Mark Antal, 54, was standing outside a study by Pilates de East Village waiting for his young daughters when James Lawson, 44, began shouting that he left “his street” shortly before 11:30 am in Sunay and Sunder and Sind and Sidnce.
Lawson supposedly threw himself to Antal and the two fight, with the maniac upset allegedly picking up a brick and hitting him on the victim’s head, the police said.
Despite being stunned by the coup, Antal was able to fight Lawson and waited for the police to arrive after the spectators called 911, the sources said.
The ugly episode sent both men to the hospital, and left a bitter taste for Antal and his family.
“We are grateful that Mark is alive and worried about the damage to his brain and head,” said his wife, Christine, The Post on Monday. “We are concerned about our neighborhood and our children. Our children should not be afraid to be outside on a Sunday morning.”
Lawson was also injured in the fight and is a bees hero at the Bellevue Hospital and second degree assault charges pending a reading of charges in the Criminal Court of Manhattan.
The records show that Lawson has five unusual previous trials, including two serious crimes.
His last bust arrived on April 9, when he was accused of two separate incidents, supposedly breaking a glass in a bar on B avenue and reaching a car and grabbing the telephone of the victim at Second Avenue.
Lawson was prosecuted for those charges on April 11 and released without bail. The charges are not eligible for bail under the controversial criminal justice reforms of the Empire.
Meanwhile, Christine Antal said the incident shook his family, although they are not oblivious to trauma. They direct the non -profit task force Antal, which provides humanitarian assistance to the victims in some of the most warned regions in the world.
Mark Antal’s military career included 12 years with the Operational Detachment Delta of the Special Forces of the US Army. Uu. Before retiring active service in 2015.
“My children recently returned from visiting injured children and delivering medical supplies in Ukraine, and nights spent pump shelters,” said Christine Antal on Monday. “Last night they woke up crying and scared to be at home in New York and Sady felt safer in kyiv.”
The Legal Aid Society, which Lawson repeats, did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
