
San Jose – A woman died last week when her minivan overturned after she parked on a slope in a residential neighborhood, according to the San José Police.
Police officers were called around 10:50 am on Friday for a report by a car accident near Lyric Lane and Otono Court, north of Branham Lane East. They arrived to find a seriously Kured woman, and she was declared dead on the scene, police said.
An investigation determined that the injuries occurred after the victim had parked a 2006 Kia Sedona on a slope on the north side of Lyric Lane.
“When the driver left the vehicle, the vehicle began to move back, knocking down the victim and rolling for her,” police said in a press release on Monday.
The driver has been identified by the Office of the Forensic Doctor of Santa Clara Clear as Bella Volier, 78, or San José.
No additional details were published. The collision marked the death of the eighth traffic of the city of the year.
