Ladies, enters formation.
Katy Perry, Gayle King, Jeff Bezos’s fiancee, Lauren Sánchez, and the rest of Blue Origin’s female crew posed in their space costumes in a photo shoot during the weekend before her trip on Monday.
Perry, 40, published the photos on Instagram and wrote: “Happy International Human Space Flight 🚀 Forever with astonishment from the Universe and its alignment ✨”.
In the photos, all women had their last names written in the front of their blue monkeys. They also had “blue origin” stamped in the arm.
Sánchez, 55, confirmed to the New York Times that he designed the costumes with the help of Fernando García and Laura Kim, co -founders of the brand mons and creative directors of Oscar de la Renta.
“We reimagent the flight suit. Usually, you know, these costumes are made for a man. Then they adapt to a woman. I think the costumes are elegant, but they also bring a bit of spice to space,” he told The Outlet.
“Simplicity was important, comfort and form,” Garcia told The Times of the Suits. “But we also wanted something that was a bit dangerous, like a motocross outfit. Or a ski suit. Behavior and sexy.”
Sánchez also confirmed that he carries Kim Kardashian’s skims in the space flight.
The former scientist of the NASA rockets, Aisha Bowe, the civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and the film producer Kerianne Flynn also go to the new Shepard de Bezos rocket on Monday.
In a recent interview with Elle, the six women confirmed that they go to space in full makeup.
“The space will finally be glamorous. If I could take the glamor with me, I would do it,” said Perry, who also declared: “We are going to put the ‘ass’ in the astronaut.”
The “Roar” singer also shared: “I don’t have time to be nervous; I don’t have time to worry. I will feel that something leave, ’10, 9, 7, 7, …” But until then we have to do it. We have it. We have it. ”
King, on the other hand, has admitted that he is nervous to take off the space.
“I don’t know how to explain Bee terrified and excited at the same time. It’s how I felt about to deliver a baby,” said 70 -year -old journalist about “CBS Mornings” in February.
“This was never my dream. It was never my dream,” King added. “And someone said, maybe I need to have new dreams, Gayle.”
Monday’s trip will last 11 minutes and reach 62 miles above the surface to the limits of the Earth’s atmosphere.
The mission will mark the 11th human flight for the new Shepard program of the Sells Company owned by Bezos.
