The governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, and his family were forced to evacuate the governor’s mansion after a fire fire was called at night while they slept, he announced.
“Last night at 2 in the morning, my family and I woke up with the coup in the Police of the State of Pennsylvania after a fire on fire at the Governor’s residence in Harrisburg,” Shapiro wrote on Twitter.
“The Harrisburg Fire Office was on the scene and, while working to turn off the fire, we were evacuated safely by the Pennsylvania State Police and assisted by the Capitol Police. Thank God that no one was injured and the fire.”
Whmtm-TV showed fire teams that responded to the fire on the first floor of the official residence.
The high -profile Democrat Governor is seen as a possible main contender for the White House in 2028, and was strongly considered as Kamala Harris’s co -worker in 2024.
