Cal Jaydn Ott corridor scored two touchdowns at the Bears Spring Showcase on Saturday. Two days later it seems that he can leave Berkeley.
OTT is expected to enter the transfer portal when opening on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. Pete Nakos of On3.com was the first to report the news on Monday night.
The rising senior had a low season in 2024 after two stellar years to open his university career. The ankle lesion hindered the past fall when only 385 yards ran in 116 hauling after accumulating 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023, when he won all the honors of PAC-12. He was also a first year student All-American in 2022 after leaving with 897 yards in 170 hauls, including a game of 274 yards and three touchdown against Arizona.
OTT’s partner in the Bears field last season, Campo Marshal Fernando Mendoza, transferred in the winter window to Indiana.

Cal Justin Wilcox coach rebuilt his offensive staff this low season, bringing former Boise State coach and Auburn coach Bryan Harsin as an offensive coordinator and adding the former state coach of Hawaii and Washington, Nick Rolovich, as an offensive assistant. But the big names apparently did not do enough to prevent Ott from looking elsewhere.
Behind OTT in the depth table of the Bears is the McClymonds graduate, Jaivian Thomas, who had 626 yards and seven touchdowns in 100 hauls as a second year student last season.
